The Kino Cafe in Stokes Croft, North Bristol is a delightful vegan cafe Co-op serving very tasty food and a range of great drinks. Downstairs in the basement is where we run occasional 'Kino Sessions', including poetry evenings and, each year, our annual Kino Xmas Bash. This year there will be a full set of lyrical folk songs performed by Barry and the Fridge Mechanics, and this year we are sharing the evening with the Rock and Roll Angels, an acoustic songwriting project based around the intimate and reflective songs of Bristol musician Shaun McCrindle. Shaun writes lovely songs, sensitively arranged and played by his band. It's going to be an amazing gig all glued together in the expert and hilariious hands of Spikey Tim Vosper, our MC performance poet.
These are always warm and vibrant evenings of entertaining music and poetry, so do come along if you can. Tickets will be, as usual, £5 at the door.
